5 incredible road trips in the USA
The United States of America is one of my favorite travel destinations. The stunning landscapes, fantastic cities, beautiful national parks plus a great travel infrastructure provide endless opportunities for amazing road trips. The vastness of the country, the contrasts and contradictions, the ultimate feeling of freedom; just get in your car, get a cup of coffee, turn on the radio and go! Here are 5 incredible road trips in the USA I highly recommend:
Mountain States
My favorite USA road trip takes you through the five ‘mountain states’ (so called because they center around the Rocky Mountains) in two weeks: Colorado, (a small part of) Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. The trip includes Rocky Mountain National Park, a train ride from Denver to Salt Lake City with the classic California Zephyr, the underrated but beautiful Sawtooth Range, bisons in the National Bison Range, utterly majestic Glacier National Park, rodeo in Cody, famous Yellowstone National Park, the peaks of Grand Teton National Park and much more.
